Abstract:

Internet resources are now perceived as essential to medical practice. For mobile doctors, smartphones offer convenient access to the Internet. Since 2002, the National Library of Medicine has provided resources for searching MEDLINE on mobile devices. A review of PubMed for Handhelds server logs show that mobile devices now account for more than 25% of all access. We predict continued increase as more clinicians use smartphones.
