Recent Lister Hill Center paper downloaded 100 times

Within days of publication, a paper by Dr. Sivaramakrishnan Rajaraman and colleagues published in the premier journal PeerJ was downloaded 100 times. Entitled “'Pre-trained convolutional neural networks as feature extractors toward improved malaria parasite detection in thin blood smear images,” this is the first study to evaluate the performance of Deep Learning models in classifying parasitic and uninfected red blood cells for improved malaria screening – at both cell and patient level, and using a large scale clinical dataset.
