Szilard Vajda and Agam LinWilson Lin and Agam Mittal, high school students who worked at CEB in the summer of 2014, displayed their senior research work on February 19 at the Annual Research Convention and Poster Session held by Montgomery Blair High School, a prominent magnet school in Montgomery County, Maryland. They were among about 100 students participating at the session. Mr. Lin, mentored by CEB postdoctoral fellow Dr. Szilard Vajda presented his poster titled "Facial Landmark Detector for Lost Person Finder". Also attending the convention were Dr. Sema Candemir, a postdoctoral fellow at CEB, seen discussing Mr. Mittal’s work at his poster. Dr. Vajda, Dr. Stefan Jaeger and Michael Gill also ventured out this chilly evening. This year, the highly-regarded Blair program produced eleven Intel semi-finalists as well as one finalist. The poster session was followed by an inspirational talk by Montgomery County Council Member Craig Rice (a Blair graduate), and awards were judged by the Washington Academy of Sciences.
