The SPECIALIST Lexicon

Overview

Introduction

Lexicon is released once every year along with UMLS Metathesaurus. Lexical records are used to be frozen at the end of June/begining of July. After new LexBuild system is deployed in 2004, Lexicon is frozen at the end of June/begining of July (due to the fact of shorter turn around lead time). All Lexicon tables are generated for the release. Lexical tools integrate this set of data for the new release.
