Search by Category

LexAccess also provides users to search by category. There are 11 categories in the SPECIALIST LEXICON. They are:

• Adj: adjective
• Adv: adverb
• Aux: auxiliary
• Compl: complementizer
• Conj: conjunction
• Det: determiner
• Modal: modal
• Noun: noun
• Prep: preposition
• Pron: pronoun
• Verb: verb

To perform this search, users need to:

• Click on "Search By Category" from the top menu
• Select categories
• Click on "Search" button

Please note that this search might take a long while if you choose categories with lots of records. Such as noun, adj, verb, etc..

Below shows an example of searching records of auxiliary and complementizer. Four records are retrieved (3 auxiliary, 1 complementizer). Due to the image size, only two and partial of the third records are shown on the picture below. However, users may scroll down to see all records on the web tools.
