Search by Base Form

LexAccess also provides users to search by base form. A base form is the uninflected form. Users may click on the "Search By Base" from the Top Menu. Four types of base search is provided:

• Exact match: retrieve all records with base match the input term
• Begin with: retrieve all records with base begin with the input term
• Contain: retrieve all records with base contains the input term
• End with: retrieve all records with base end with the input term

To perform this search, users need to:

• Click on "Search By Base" link from the top menu
• Type in a term
• Select a match type (default is exact match)
• Click on "Search" button

Below shows an example of search exact match of "saw". Please note that only two records are found. Record of "see" is not included in the result since it is not exact match for the base form.
