Expertise and Research Interests:
Dr. Deepak Gupta works as a research scientist at the National Library of Medicine (NLM), National Institutes of Health (NIH). He received his Ph.D. in Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology Patna, India, in 2020. He earned his Master in Mathematics and Computer Science from the Indian Institute of Technology Patna, India, in 2015. His research interests include multimodal learning, natural language processing, and deep learning with an emphasis on question answering and summarization for clinical decision making and education. His work has been featured in top Natural Language Processing conferences like ACL, EMNLP, COLING, CoNLL, AACL-IJCNL, and journals like ACM Transactions on Asian and Low-Resource Language Information Processing (TALLIP), Knowledge-based System, Expert Systems with Applications. His work has won the best system award at BioASQ@CLEF 2021, SemEval@ACL 2017, CMEE-IL@FIRE 2016, Transliterated Search@FIRE 2014. He has served as a program committee member for top AI and NLP conferences (AAAI, ACL, EMNLP, NAACL, COLING, etc.). He is reviewing manuscripts for journals like TALLIP, Knowledge-based System, etc.
