NIH Director's Awards Recognizes Several LHNCBC Staff
The NIH Director’s Awards recognize exceptional performance and achievements of all Institutes, Centers, and Offices within the NIH. Awards are given in various categories, including scientific/medical, administrative, technical/clerical support, and mentoring. The 2020 edition of the NIH Director's Awards includes several LHC staff:
- Rodney Long, “For exemplary leadership, creative engineering and research investigations in biomedical imaging, multimedia databases, and machine learning leading to breakthrough outcomes in cancer research.”
- Anna Ripple, as part of the Data Science @ NLM Training Program Team, “In recognition of outstanding contributions in developing, coordinating, and advancing data science workforce development at NLM.”
- Paul Fontelo, “For exemplary performance while demonstrating significant leadership, skill, and ability in serving as a mentor.”
