Genetics Home Reference launches guide to direct-to-consumer genetic testing
Today Genetics Home Reference launched our new guide to direct-to-consumer genetic testing. These popular tests are provided by 23andMe, Ancestry.com, and many other companies.
The guide covers choosing a service, privacy considerations, insurance risks, and more. It also explains whether these tests can accurately predict your risk of cancer or Alzheimer disease, and what it means to have Neanderthal DNA. There’s a PDF version of the guide available for printing.
