Dr. Rindflesch has a PhD in linguistics from the University of Minnesota and currently leads the Semantic Knowledge Representation project, which conducts research in natural language processing methodology and develops innovative applications for advanced access to information in MEDLINE citations.

He is a member of the American Medical Informatics Association, the Association for Computational Linguistics, and the Linguistic Society of America.

Honors and Awards: 

Dr. Rindflesch was elected a fellow of the American College of Medical Informatics in 2005. He was recognized with NLM Group Awards (with Olivier Bodenreider) in 2006 and with Marcelo Fiszman, Graciela Rosemblat, and Dongwook Shin in 2009. He received an NIH Director’s Award for mentoring in 2015.
