Abstract:

We reviewed country statistics on language fluency, GDP, literacy rate, Internet usage, medical schools, physician per capita, and analyzed them with PubMed and MedlinePlus page-views to determine if they were associated. After dependent variables were normalized, language fluency (English and Spanish) was found to be positively associated with PubMed, MedlinePlus English and MedlinePlus Spanish views, respectively. The other parameters also showed varying degrees of association with page-views.
