VTT: Browse Operations
VTT provides easy and convenient way to browse through the text and markups.
The browsing procedures of VTT are described as follows:
- Browsing text
- By scroll bar:
- If the text is longer than display window size, a scroll bar will display for this feature
- By quick keys:
- Even the caret (cursor) is not shown in VTT, users can still use the position of caret to browse the text
- The position of caret is shown if the show status is checked (Options ->Show Status)
- Use arrow key right to move right one character (forward)
- Use arrow key left to move left one character (backward)
- Use arrow key up to move up one line
- Use arrow key down to move down one line
- Use Page Up key to move up one page
- Use Page Down key to move down one page
- Browsing markups
In addition to above text browsing feature, VTT provides following quick keys to browse and select markups:
- All markups
- Use key: [ to set (move) selected markup to the first markup
- Use key: ] to set (move) selected markup to the last markup
- Use key: , to set (move) selected markup to the previous markup (backward)
- Use key: . to set (move) selected markup to the next markup (forward)
- Markups with display tag only
- Use key: { to set (move) selected markup to the first displayed markup
- Use key: } to set (move) selected markup to the last displayed markup
- Use key: < to set (move) selected markup to the previous displayed markup (backward)
- Use key: > to set (move) selected markup to the next displayed markup (forward)
