Mr. Leung and his colleagues discuss JPEG2000 and focus on single source storage and scalable distribution. The talk addresses: JPEG2000 basics (workings, scalability, etc.), an overview of the ISO/ITU standard Motion, JPEG 2000 standard, history and technical specifications, BEAM Group's current streaming server solutions, metadata and colorspace issues, commercial and free software, JPEG2000 solutions. There will be a demonstration of the BEAM Group's streaming technologies and JPEG2000 hardware to show:Scalability (resolution and SNR based) in real-time interaction over network, JPIP streaming demo in real-time, multiview demonstration, and hardware playback.
