Program Description
The Biomedical Informatics Research Program for Visiting Scientists component of the Biomedical Informatics Training Program at the Lister Hill National Center for Biomedical Communications provides established faculty and research staff with opportunities for collaborative biomedical informatics research with LHNCBC preceptors and to gain new skills for their informatics research. The FAQs include information about the lecture series that participants can attend.
Short-term appointments, summer appointments, and long-term sabbatical appointments are available.
Recipients may receive stipends, which can vary depending on experience.
Requirements and Selection
Applicants should be faculty or research staff at accredited colleges, universities, or technical institutes.
Program participants will be selected based on their scientific background and experience, research accomplishments, the ability to match an applicant's background and capabilities with LHNCB research, letters of recommendation, awards and honors, and the availability of funds, projects, staff, and facilities.
