ABOUT
Program Description
The NLM Rotation for Biomedical Informatics Trainees component of the Biomedical Informatics Training Program at the Lister Hill National Center for Biomedical Communications provides biomedical informatics training and research opportunities to graduate students and postdocs enrolled in NLM extramural Training Grant programs. Trainees interact and collaborate with LHNCBC research staff preceptors and participants in other components of the Training Program; this may lead to further collaboration. The FAQs include information about the lecture series that participants can attend.
The two-month rotation usually takes place in June and July.
Trainees are paid stipends equivalent to their regular monthly stipends, and receive reimbursement for travel to and from NLM and $700 per month housing allowances for two months. A Training Grant may be extended two additional months at a student's home institution to compensate for the time spent in the rotation.

Applicants should be NLM Training Grant students at the end of their first or second year of training.
