Abstract:

Many healthcare practitioners might rely solely on journal abstracts for clinical decisions because of: poor Internet access, insufficient computer resources heavy patient load, time constraints lack of easy access to full-text articles We developed Consensus Abstracts, a method of presenting multiple MEDLINE abstracts and short summaries simultaneously to increase current evidence. Using smartphones and wireless mobile devices, these resources can be accessed worldwide at the point of care. Providing relevant, consensus evidence from current medical literature might be useful in clinical decision making and the practice of evidence-based medicine.
